There was no way to see what your slices were doing until you loaded the patch in Arena. Wire Test Slices Creating a patch with slice inputs in Wire was like programming blindfolded. With the new blend modes dropdown menu you can favourite the blends you use the most and fold down the rest so they are out of the way. You got this huge list of blend modes and transitions but often use only a handful. New in v7.10: New Blend Modes Menu Quickly selecting a different blend mode for a layer was always a bit of a pain in the a$$. So we worked together with The Hague based artist Darien Brito to create a few versatile generators so you can create even more visuals right within Resolume. MetaBalls, Sine Wave, Spiral They say it's more sustainable to buy local produce. Autopilot Loops You can now determine how often a clip should loop before advancing to the next. Color Eye Dropper Pick a color from anywhere on your screen and apply it in your composition. Feel free to experiment with the look of your clips, apply effects, change the colors and if you do not like what you see you can always go back with undo. UNDO You now have a little guardian angel looking over your shoulder. We think you'll like them so read on for all the juicy deets. The reason for this change of pace is we have big changes and even bigger plans. Now it's only been a little under 2 years since we announced Resolume 6. Usually it takes us 3 or 4 years to release a new major version. Your product feels like it is on life-support, I am afraid.Team R2R | | 1.03GB This may come as a surprise to you. Layers, composites, resolution, and framerate. It already outperforms Resolume on the M1. It runs rings around PCs and sips power all day long. I fear that someday, someone else will get a crazy idea to make software for the VJ community that runs natively on the world's best performing low-power silicon, from Apple. But, I must say that I feel 2020-2022 is probably going to be remembered as a time of wasted opportunity for this software. I have only know about Resolume for less than a year and am not your typical VJ customer. Not without rewriting the whole rendering engine I'm afraid. Is there any possibility to use metal instead openGL? ![]()
